Influenza Injections
These are available from September onwards. Appointments can normally be made from the beginning of September.
Family Planning Clinic
There are family planning clinics every week. Please telephone for details.
Antenatal Services
Patients are seen by a midwife at the clinics by appointment. A GP will also be available.
Midwives and health visitors will also visit patients at home.
Well Baby Clinics
Clinics are held weekly and offer the opportunity for you to bring your baby for weight/growth checks and discuss parenting issues with the health visitors. Appointments are made through your health visitor.
This clinic is for well babies only - if your child is unwell they need an appointment with their GP.
Child Health Surveillance Clinic
This involves regular assessment of children up to five years old by the health visitors and doctors.

Well Woman Clinics
These clinics are run on most days by the practice nurses for smears and discussion of women's health issues.
Asthma Clinic
This is run by a practice nurse in conjunction with Dr Watson, by appointment only.
Diabetic Clinic
This is run by a advanced practice practitioner in conjunction with Dr Soman, by appointment only.
COPD Clinic
A specialist clinic run by a nurse to help patients with Chronic Obstruction Pulmonary Disease. Appointments can be made at reception.
Minor Surgery
We have two GPs who carry out minor surgical procedures at Friarwood Surgery by appointment and the doctors will be happy to advise you on this.
Travel Immunisation/Vaccinations
Please look under Further Information on the right of the website and open the 14. Travel Questionnaire link, where you can either print a form off to complete and hand back into the surgery or alternatively (if you have an online account) complete and submit back to us online. Please note that we would require the completed form at least eight weeks in advance of your holiday to ensure adequate cover.
A charge will be made for certain immunisations and vaccinations which are not covered by the NHS. A list of these charges is held at reception.
